He showed up on my doorstep one sunny morning after 12 years of watching him walk up and down the street in various forms of being self medicated to let me know someday that I would be his wife!?
We were strangers but neighbors just 3 doors down and I always knew from a distance, that besides being high, something wasn’t quite right. This continues to be a 2 – 1/2 year journey through the painful recovery of an adult mans 23 year addiction to meth and his life with, what I believe is, undiagnosed Autism. No one believes me when I share my unprofessional diagnosis but I know God placed him on my doorstep because God knew I would try to do what I could to love him well and get him the help he needed. As time passed I discovered, what I believe, is the prelude to the problem and reason for self medication that keeps him in this addiction of hell that he himself was and is blind to.
I receive no financial help for him because no one believes me and I wonder how many other adults go undiagnosed with no support as they try to traverse life alone, alienated and abandoned, because of Autism.
This man is brilliant and I can see his amazing love, gifts and talents and that if given the opportunity and support could make great changes to this world we live in!!
He continues to be my best friend as I will never let anything happen to him now that I know and understand his struggles with everyday life that no one else does or refuses to believe.
My big question: what came first…..the Autism or the hard metal poisoning from meth which is a factor in Autism and ADHD or the vaccines at birth filled with hard metals we are giving our children causing all the above? Or the hard metals found in the food we eat? Or the water with unnecessary flouride and chlorine as well as other chemicals they put in the system for us to drink? And why do we give children adderal that is amphetamine minus the meth molecule?
This man I love who is my best friend has been caught up in the perpetual government engine as we all have and now is now trying to traverse the justice system to free himself not only of that trap, but learn to live a sober life with undiagnosed Autism!!
The lessons for me in this journey with my new best friend have been many as I stand as a student in all that God places in my path to learn about the unconditional love He has for us and to help me grow to get to that place He desires all of us to be in!
